I am a recently retired college professor/English teacher (secondary), embarking on a long-delayed terminal degree. I live in in the heart of the Adirondacks in Lake Placid, NY, with my wife, Susan, and our dog, Ace. I am pursuing my MFA in fiction, focusing on short stories, though I have started and never finished several novels. My literary heroes are Shakespeare (of course), Joyce, Woolf, Flannery O'Connor, James Baldwin, Thomas Pynchon, Toni Morrison, Don DeLillo, Mary Gaitskill, and David Foster Wallace. My musical heroes are David Bowie, Pete Townsend, and Keith Moon. I don't like lima beans!Â
