Hello Wildcat Teachers!

Welcome to Mrs. Berglund’s Wildcat Resource Cave — your online guide for coaching, planning, and Wildcat-level support. I’m thrilled to begin this new journey with you as the Instructional Coach at Valdosta Middle School. Together, we’ll collaborate to strengthen Tier 1 instruction, support student growth, and work toward achieving our School Improvement Plan goals with confidence and clarity.

This will be my 17th year in education, and I bring with me a wide range of classroom experience, including teaching Math, Social Studies, and literacy-integrated content across sixth, seventh, and eighth grades. I currently serve as an 8th Grade Math and Algebra I teacher in the STEM Academy and have held leadership roles such as Team Leader, PLC Lead, Extended Day Academic Coach, and Mentor Teacher. I’m a proud member of the Valdosta City Schools Aspiring Leaders Cohort and will be pursuing my Educational Leadership and Teacher Leadership Specialist degree from Valdosta State University beginning Summer 2025.

My coaching philosophy is grounded in collaboration, trust, and shared success. I’m here to support your teaching practices through personalized coaching cycles, resource sharing, data conversations, and honest, constructive dialogue. Whether you’re seeking help with planning, classroom strategies, or student data analysis — or simply need a sounding board — I’m here to walk beside you.

Let’s have a year filled with growth, collaboration, and Wildcat victories. Please don’t hesitate to reach out, explore the site, and share your ideas. I’m excited to support you and celebrate all the amazing things happening at VMS.

Let’s ROAR into a strong school year — together! 🐾

This site was built with inspiration, guidance, and support from colleagues and resources who continually share their expertise.

Dr. Shackelford – Your vision for instructional coaching and resource organization inspired the foundation and structure of this site. Thank you for modeling what it looks like to create a space that empowers teachers 🩷💚

My amazing VMS colleagues who contributed resources, shared templates, and offered feedback that helped shape the content.

Instructional coaching networks and professional learning communities such as Solution Tree (PLC at Work®), AllThingsPLC, School Reform Initiative, and Learning Forward whose public tools and protocols informed the PLC/PL section.

External instructional resource sites (e.g., CommonLit, Newsela, Quill, BetterLesson, Data Wise at Harvard, Edutopia) for sharing quality content that supports teacher and student growth.

This is truly a collaborative effort designed to bring the best ideas and tools together for our Wildcat educators 🐾

In the heart of every Wildcat is the power to grow, lead, and ROAR with purpose. Let’s rise together — black, gold, and bold.
