Who We Are

The Valdosta Middle School Band provides opportunities for students to learn about music while having fun. Our students learn how to play instruments and perform in large and small groups while learning life-long skills such as responsibility and cooperation.

We are currently recruiting 5th Graders (upcoming 6th Graders) for our Beginning Band Classes set to begin at Valdosta Middle School in August. Students who are interested should complete these easy steps below to join the band.

Step Two

Students should check out the videos below to see and hear about all the instruments we offer in beginning band. Once students have seen and heard all the instrument information, they should complete the interest form letting the band director know that they want to be a part of the band.

Which one do you want to play? We will do instrument placements in August once we are all together in class. Then, I will help you with the process of getting your instrument to use! Now that you've looked at the instruments, it's time to sign-up for Band!
