A Letter to Our Parents

Dear Families,

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! We are very excited to have the opportunity to teach your children this school year.

This year is going to be an exciting and engaging year for your children. During 3rd grade, students will partake in many academic activities that will allow them to expand their educational outlook. Our classrooms will be student centered, allowing students the opportunity to learn through personal experience while we guide them along on their journey. We look forward to teaching our students Reading and Writing with the use of our Writing Revolution Literacy series, which provides students with the appropriate strategies needed in order to become the best readers and writers they can be. We will also be working diligently in Math to promote critical thinking skills, fact fluency, usage of appropriate math terminology, and an understanding of the Mathematical Practices.

A key component for a successful year includes open communication between parent and teacher. By working together, we can ensure that each child receives a fulfilling learning experience. Please feel free to contact us at any time with any questions of concerns you may have. You may reach us by email or calling the school office. Also, check out our class website pages for updates throughout the year. This year is going to be a wonderful, exciting year!
