Welcome to Mrs. Ivester's Teacher Page!

My name is Megan Ivester and I have had the privilege to teach in Gobles starting in 2007. I love working in Gobles because of the Family atmosphere and the relationships I have made with all of my students past and present. I began working in Gobles when I started coaching volleyball and softball.

I worked as a 4th grade teacher for 15 years and in 2022 made the transition to Behavior Interventist. I love the relationships I develop with all the students and families in Gobles!

I graduated in 1999 from Portage Central High School. I then attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College where I played both volleyball and softball. After my two years at KVCC I transferred to Western Michigan University where I earned my bachelors degree in Elementary Education with a minor in creative arts. In 2011 I earned my Masters Degree from Walden University in Educational Technology.  I am currently pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports and in the future working towards my administration certificate.

I have been married to my husband Tom since 2004. We live in Mattawan. I have three wonderful and fun loving children, Brett, Jackson and Grant. We enjoy spending time as a family and we are very busy in our free time.

Some hobbies outside of school I enjoy doing during my free time are reading, scrap booking, spending time with my family and camping.
