Welcome to Mrs. Guritz's

Teacher Page!

My name is Michelle Guritz and I have the wonderful opportunity to work at Gobles Elementary School. I am ecstatic to be teaching Title I Reading after ten years of teaching in the classroom. I have enjoyed teaching first, third, and fourth grade, but now being able to share my passion for reading is my dream job.

I am originally from the Mattawan area. I graduated in 2002 from Mattawan High School and then went to Western Michigan University where I received my Elementary Teaching Degree. In 2011, I earned my Masters Degree from Walden University in Education Technology.

I have been married to my husband, Justin, since 2009 and we reside in the Kalamazoo area. We have a son named Colton and daughter named Mila, who also attend at Gobles Elementary. Last year we also got an energetic poodle named Stella.

My hobbies include reading, traveling, gardening, scrapbooking, and skiing/snowboarding with my family.
