Welcome to Mrs. Cook's Teacher Page!

My name is Amanda Cook and I have been teaching at Gobles Elementary since 2006. I graduated from Western Michigan University with Elementary Education and Spanish majors and Math and Science minors. In 2011 I obtained my Masters Degree in Reading and Math Instruction. I enjoyed six years of teaching fifth grade and since 2013 I have been serving Gobles Elementary as the Title I Math Teacher. In 2018 I also began coaching K-5 teachers' math instruction. I am blessed to be able to work with all grades K-5 and to see positive growth they make throughout the school year.

In 2009 my husband and I purchased a home in the Gobles community. What a wonderful place this is to raise a family! We look forward to being involved in this community for many years to come!

Math Support 2020-21

Math support is coming into each classroom to support teachers in their instructional goals as well as students with their learning goals. Sometimes this looks like model teaching, co-teaching, or whole class support, and sometimes it is working one-on-one with a student or a small group of students. The learning target of each teacher and student are different, depending on each teachers' professional goals and each students' progress toward mastery of their grade level's essential standards.
