Chin-Yin Huang is Professor and Department Chairman of Industrial Engineering and Enterprise Information at Tunghai University, Taiwan. He had a Ph.D. degree from Purdue University, USA. His research interests include Healthcare Management, Clinical Data Analysis, Manufacturing Process Optimization, and Industry 4.0. Prof. Huang is currently Vice President of International Foundation for Production Research. He also serves as the Chairman in the Asia Pacific Region. He is a Board Member of Asia Pacific Industrial Engineering and Management Society. In addition, he is the Director of International Affairs of IIE in Taiwan. He is former Dean of General Affairs, Tunghai University. Prof. Huang has been serving as professional consultants and advisors in government, universities, hospitals, and manufacturing sectors. His publications appear in Epilepsy Research, Pediatrics & Neonatology, PeerJ, Journal of the Chinese Medical Association, The Scientific World Journal, International Journal of Production Research, International Journal of Production Economics, Computers in Industry, Computers and Industrial Engineering, Robotics and Computer-Integrated Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Engineering Computations, etc. He also coauthored several books and chapters.

Professor Wang received his Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics from Iowa State University in 1985. His research interests include experimental mechanics, photomechanics, fracture mechanics, thermal stresses, precision optical measurement and nondestructive testing. He was the principal investigator for a nation-wide project entitled “The Research and Education Advancement Project for Precision Mechatronics” sponsored by the Ministry of Education of Taiwan from 2001~2006. He was advisor (1987~1995) for the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Executive Director (1994~2002) for the Tze-Chiang Foundation of Science and Technology and Director General (2003~2004) of the Department of International Programs of the National Science Council. He served as the Associate Dean and Director of the Division of Academic Cooperation of the Office of Research and Development of the National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) from 2007~2008. He was the Dean of International Affairs, Vice President for International Affairs and Vice President for Global Affairs of the NTHU from 2008~2014. Since 2014, he has become the Senior Advisor for Global Affairs, Office of the President, NTHU. Since 2011, he has served as the Director of the Program Office at NTHU for the Taiwan Education Center (TEC) in India. Since March 1 2018, he has also appointed as the Director for the Center for India Studies. He was the Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Optics and Lasers in Engineering (1995~1999) and Associate Technical Editor of the Journal of Experimental Mechanics (2006~2009). He was the Editorial Board Member of the Journal of the European Association for Experimental Mechanics (2008~2015) and Regional Editor for Asia, The Open Mechanics Journal (2010~present). He is the Fellow of Society for Experimental Mechanics (SEM), USA. He served as the President of the SEM from 2009~2010.

Prof Day-Yang Liu

Dr. Day-Yang Liu is Vice President of Taiwan Tech and had received a Ph. D degree in Economics from U.S. Tulane university in 1988 and since then he have been teaching at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology for 30 years and now is also a professor of Graduate Institute of Finance, School of Management. I have served as a University Chief of Staff for one and half years (2003~2005) and Chairman of Department of Business Administration (1987-2001) and Chairman of Department of Finance (2008-2009). My major teaching courses include strategic management and managerial economics for international MBA program, Macroeconomics, Macroeconomic policy, principle of economics, business and government, leadership, money and banking, and Entrepreneurship seminar.
In addition, my research interests are system dynamics, DEA analysis, industrial policy, executive compensation, lottery and commercial gaming, government subsidies on R & D, performance evaluation on R & D project, faculty reward system, Public Policy, and small-medium enterprises management. In general, my research interests are mainly empirical research over various interdisciplinary fields. my work has appeared in Journals such as American Journal of Economics and Sociology, Journal of Intellectual Capital, International Journal of Product Management, Competitiveness Review, International Journal of Business, Journal of Property Finance, Journal of International Trade and Economics Development, International Journal of Management, System and Review, Asia-Pacific Review of Economics, Asia Culture and others etc., as well as three books.
Besides regular teaching and research, so far I have completed in conducting more than 400 MBA and EMBA master thesis at NTUST and Other National Universities and also have supervised 30 Ph. D dissertations. In particular, most of EMBA master thesis is working on business strategy by company with various industries. On August 2005, I had a chance to attend the PCMPCL seminar from Harvard Business School as the first group of 70 senior faculties selected from greater China region with only 11 professors from Taiwan. Since then, I have applied HBS case method in all EMBA and MBA classes and for many years I also have taught strategic management course in English and in case method with 50~100 MBA students in my class.
In addition, I had attended workshops on Entrepreneurship Thoughts and Action at Babson college in 2012, plus Entrepreneurship Leadership and Innovation in 2018 from Babson College as well. I had also actively promote Fintech seminars, lectures, courses both in Taiwan and in 2018 July I had brought 42 professors and emba students to attend National Fintech conference at Xiamen University. Lately, I am working to establish a University-TUL Blockchain research center to promote various applications.
Last but not least, I have been serving several committees for various government agencies and institutions, non-profit organizations, universities and colleges, and others. Over the years, I had also served as independent board of directors, Board member of financial holding corporations and many IPO before, In addition, I have been serving as the President of Tulane Alumni Association in Taiwan with members more than 700 alumni for more than twenty years.

Chao-Tung Yang Ph.D.

Dr. Chao-Tung Yang is a Distinguished Professor of Computer Science at Tunghai University in Taichung, Taiwan. He received a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from Tunghai University, Taichung, Taiwan, in 1990, and the M.Sc. degree in Computer Science from National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1992. He received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from National Chiao Tung University in July 1996. He won the 10th 1996 Acer Dragon Award for an outstanding Ph.D. dissertation. He has worked as an Associate Researcher for ground operations in the Ground System Section of the National Space Organization (NSPO) in Hsinchu Science-based Industrial Park since Oct. 1996. In August 2001, he joined the faculty of the Department of Computer Science at Tunghai University as an Associate Professor. He is a full Professor started in August 2007 and as a Distinguished Professor in August 2015. He got three-times Outstanding Industry-Academic Cooperation Awards in 2012, 2014, 2015 and three-times Excellent Industry-Academic Cooperation Awards in 2013, 2016, 2018, respectively, from Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). Also, he got four-times Outstanding Research Paper Awards and three-times Excellent Industry-Academic Cooperation Awards from Tunghai University in 2007, 2011, 2014, 2018, and 2014, 2015 and 2018, respectively. Dr. Yang was awarded nine times (2010~2018) Talent Awards from Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). He is serving in a number of journal editorial boards, including Future Generation Computer Systems (SCIE), International Journal of Communication Systems (SCIE), KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Systems (SCIE), Journal of Cloud Computing, IJ-CLOSER, International Journal of Next-Generation Computing (IJNGC), “Next Generation Internet of Things (IoT) and Cloud Security Solutions” Special Issue of International Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks (SCIE), “Grid Computing, Applications and Technology” Special Issue of Journal of Supercomputing (SCIE), and “Grid and Cloud Computing” Special Issue of International Journal of Ad Hoc and Ubiquitous Computing (SCIE). Dr. Yang has published more than 300 papers in journals, book chapters and conference proceedings. His present research interests are in Cloud computing and Big data, Parallel and multicore computing, and Web-based applications. He is both a member of the IEEE Computer Society and ACM. He is also both a member of IICM and TACC in Taiwan.

印尼迪波內戈羅大學副校長率團參與
東海大學的印尼姊妹校迪波內戈羅大學(Diponegoro University),由副校長Dr. Ambariyanto及Dr. Darsono帶領包括人文科學院、醫學院、漁業和海洋科學院等七大學院院長,在東海大學進行四天的專業研習課程與交流活動,本次主題以校務治理為主軸。
東海大學療癒環境管理與研究中心主任 周瑛琪教授將台灣的大學教育中最精要的校務研究、大學排名、大學品牌管理、智慧校園等等的內容,加上台中榮民粽醫院的先進醫療參訪,使得整個學習的活動非常精實及完整,利用一個星期的時間,讓副校長及院長們收穫滿載。晚宴由臺中榮民總醫院許惠恒院長作東,邀約臺中市副市長令狐榮達、東海大學校長王茂駿等產、官、學三方團隊進行歡迎晚宴與學術交流。
印尼目前有四千多所大學,迪波內戈羅大學建立於1956年,坐落於印尼中爪哇省三寶瓏市,是一所規模較大的國立研究型綜合大學,其醫學院排名第一,整體在綜合大學排名前十大,其悠久聲譽,成為印尼全國高等教育重要的大學之一,校友亦表現優異。波內戈羅大學分佈的校址分佈在三寶瓏等地的多個位置,包括7個校區和1個服務區。目前在校學生有5萬多名,醫學、法律、海洋等是他們辦學的特色專業。
本次研習課程,希望藉由國際學術的橫向交流,把台灣高等教育優質的經驗輸出,也藉由交流中加深對學校以及對台灣高等教育的印象。最終並將這些經驗,從這些高等教育之高階管理者,返國後分享給學校及友校,擴大校際間的交流。
