Population ageing is a global trend facing by Taiwan and most developed countries, but now also facing by developing countries. As more people are living longer, dementia is becoming more common in the population as a whole, but it is not a normal part of aging. According to Alzheimer's Disease International’s World Alzheimer’s Report 2018, 50 million people worldwide are living with dementia in 2018 and it will more than triple to 152 million by 2050. There are medicines and other treatments that can help with dementia symptoms. Psychological therapy is the one of non-pharmacological treatments in dementia. Psychological therapy includes reminiscence therapy. Reminiscence therapy is defined by the American Psychological Association (APA) as “the use of life stories- written, oral, or both- to improve psychological well-being.
