Background
Aging has had a profound impact on social and economic development. The increase in the elderly population means more cares, including health care, long-term care, social benefits and pensions. There are challenges for both governments and societies. Therefore, it is important to make a suitable policies to deal with this situation. As the elderly population increases, more families members need to care for the elderly. It will have an impact on family members' time, energy, and incomes. Generally speaking, global aging is a truth that cannot be ignored.
This seminar invited professors from Israel, United States, Brazil, France, Malaysia, Indonesia, and other countries to conduct in-depth discussions on issues of care to the elderly, including assist technology, social support, friendly environment and architecture, and public health issues. Through this seminar, we can gain a deeper understanding of different perspectives and corresponding strategies on the well-being of the elderly around the world. We hope to contribute to the establishment of a social environment that is more friendly and suitable for the elderly.
