Helps the community with a variety of issues, focusing on those who are low income. We hold clothing and food drives, provides free medical services, legal advice and various other types of assistance. Eastern Service Workers is a great organization for someone who doesn't have a lot of volunteering experience. They are able to train and onboard volunteers quickly and easily and they work on weekdays, weeknights and weekends. They will train people to advocates and canvassers.

From Monday to Thursday from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, volunteers from SCCESL and the PPD tutor a small number of children at the City of Pleasantville meeting room in the Pleasantville Branch of the Atlantic County Public Library System. The program is a collaboration between the SCCESL, the Pleasantville Police Department (PPD), and the City of Pleasantville. The primary goal of the Homework Completion Program is to engage children in their schoolwork and offer children a vision into the potential of a future college education. The program is also meant to foster trust in local police officers.
