How to join the virtual workshop

The virtual venue (gather.town) has now officially opened and can be visited!

To attend the workshop via gather.town:

• Click the ‘Enter here’ link on the following page https://ijcai-21.org/ijcai-virtual-space-access/

• Log into gather.town using the same credentials you used to originally register for IJCAI (i.e. the email address used to register)

• On first login, this will open the gather.town service, where you can set up your profile and avatar.

• Navigating to our Room: Our workshop code is W24, held in room ‘Blue 3’. Once inside Blue 3 hit 'x' to join the workshop Zoom.

  • Direct Link: Once logged into VirtualChair you can try to navigate directly to our room using this link: https://virtualchair.gather.town/app/TAwbSC4t4BL2aJQz/ijcai-2021?spawnToken=OThWNDN-0s9z3nZP

  • Event Calendar: Find our workshop in the 'Calendar' menu in the left and using 'Teleport'

    • In gather.town, click on the 'Calendar' icon on the bottom left of the screen

    • Find and click on our workshop session "W24: International Workshop on Adaptive Cyber Defense"

    • Click 'Teleport' and your avatar will be teleported to our workshop room.

  • Participant Search: Search for one of the meeting organizers and using the 'Locate on Map' features:

    • In gather.town, click on the ‘Participants’ icon on the bottom left of the screen

    • Search for one of the organizers names (e.g., Damian Marriott, Kimberly Ferguson-Walter, Sunny Fugate, Marco Carvalho), then click their name

    • Click ‘Locate on Map’

    • A black line indicating a path to their location will appear, which you can follow to the workshop room.
