Hi! My name is Betsy Gipe, your student's campus librarian! I am so excited to serve your students, my fellow staff members, and the community in this role.

I LOVE my job, but my number one priority is my family--My husband, Allan, and our two wonderful daughters.

This is my 6th year as your librarian at McAuliffe Elementary.

I consider myself a "homegrown" educator, as I attended McAuliffe, Briarhill, and Marcus as a student. My undergrad degree is from Baylor University (Sic 'Em Bears!) and I received my Masters in Library Science from TWU. I LOVE LISD and am so proud to be a part, not only as a past student, but also as an educator. Prior to serving McAuliffe, I taught at LHS.
