A. School Profile
Founded in 1943, Shinkaie Elementary School had celebrated its 80th school anniversary in 2023. Shinkaie Elementary School is located at the junction of Dahu Township and Zhuolan Town, Miaoli County. It faces Liyu Lake, Guandao Mountain in the west, and is surrounded by hills and beautiful mountains and rivers. It is a small but beautiful school. Most of the parents here grow pears and strawberries. There are currently six classes and 21 students in Shinkaie Elementary School. Nearly 30 percent of our students’ parents are from Vietnam, the Philippines, and China. There are multicultural backgrounds for the students to cultivate a sense of cultural diversity. Shinkaie Elementary School has seized the chance to devote the best teaching resources and efforts to educate the students in the sense of cultural understanding.
B. School Features
Shinkaie Elementary School has developed diversified school characteristics and has been practiced Montessori education, so that students can not only enjoy learning, but also learn independently. In addition, there are diverse courses such as food and agriculture education, reading education, international education, bicycle and mountain education, especially stringed music courses such as violin courses, which have been valued by parents.
