Student Gov:

Athletics:

  • Congrats to the Boys Volleyball Team on their convincing 3-0 win over Mosaic school yesterday. The team was led to victory by the setting and serving of Carson Cromwell and Sean Donnelly. The Flames are now undefeated through their first 4 matches this season - great job Flames!

  • Girls Basketball: Tryouts for Varsity AND JV Girls Basketball are this Friday, Oct. 23rd and next Tuesday, Oct. 27th afterschool from 3:45-5:45. Any girls planning on trying out for either team are asked to sign up in the gym today or tomorrow - we need to know the number of players we'll have in the gym before the first tryout.

Guidance:

  • Virtual open houses and virtual visits to SJA have already started. This is your change to learn about post-secondary institutions. They don't have multiple open houses throughout the year and they usually only have 1 visit to SJA. So take advantage of those opportunities! You can find the links to those events on the guidance website and Google classroom.

Tuesday:

Mount Allison University is virtually coming to SJA. Come to room 1107 at the beginning of lunch to see if Mount A is the right university for you.

NCAA sports and US Colleges are having many information sessions until October 26. Link to register is in our Grade 12 Google classroom and SJA guidance website.

Thursday:

UPEI is having their virtual information session at 6pm. Registration is needed.

Friday:

SMU is having their first of two open house from 12-4pm. Register online. Their second and last open house will be on Nov. 21st.

Heads up: Mount St. Vincent will have a virtual info session for SJA students Monday Oct. 26 during lunch, so bring your lunch on that day if you are interested in attending MSVU.
