Peer Tutoring at NRHS
Peer Tutors at NRHS
The NRHS Peer Tutoring Program matches students who are competent in a subject with students struggling in that subject. There is no charge for accessing peer tutoring services. Tutors are volunteers.
This benefit both students:
The student being tutored is supported in their subject area.
The student tutoring gains valuable experience that can contribute to their personal growth, their own understanding of the subject, and can be included on resumes for job and scholarship applications.
Expectations of Tutors
It is expected that tutors will meet with their partners weekly at a time decided by the tutor and student.
Suggestions are lunch times, free periods (if both students have free periods at the same time), before or after school.
