Valentine's Day Guidelines

If schools decide to allow the exchange of Valentine’s Day cards, gifts or treats, we can provide the following recommendations:

  • Practice hand hygiene.

  • Students may give out paper Valentine’s Day cards to their classmates.

  • Masks must be worn at all times.

  • If students or staff wish to bring treats for the class, they must be individually wrapped and pre-packaged treats. A designated adult should hand out the treat following appropriate food safety and food handling guidelines (such as washing their hands and using utensils).

  • Don’t use a communal candy bowl.

  • If possible, treats should be enjoyed at lunchtime, during an outdoor break, or taken home with the student to enjoy at a later time!

Please consider that some students may not feel comfortable accepting paper cards, gifts or treats from others, and schools should support and respect this decision.

Welcome Back Students

We are very excited to see our students back at school today. We would like to remind our students to properly wear their mask and sanitize their hands.

Parents are reminded to use the following Covid checklist each day before sending their children to school.

NRCS Holiday Food Can Fundraiser

Once again, NRCS will be collecting food cans to donate to the Food Bank. Of course, before we do that, we will have our annual food can rolling competition in the gym. Each class will compete and send two representatives to our final school-wide competition on December 21st.

If you can, please have your child bring in a food can so we can let the competitions and the kindness begin.

Monday, November 22nd is an Assessment and Evaluation Day

-No School for Students-

Today, Wednesday, November 17th is an Early Dismissal Day

We will be dismissing at 12:55 pm today as teachers will be meeting in their collaborative learning teams.
