Summer Job Opportunities!

ScholarTree Scholarship Opportunities

With the school year quickly winding down, students may not realize that there are still many scholarships available. has over $330,000 worth of scholarships who deadlines will be closing in May and June alone.

Students can track applications that they have started and view a summary of the scholarships they have already completed applications for.

BigSun Scholarship

Deadline: June 19, 2018

Amount: $500

The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. In order to do our part we are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving student. All student athletes are eligible regardless of the sport they are engaged in or the capacity in which they participate. The student must be a high school senior or be attending a post secondary institute.

The deadline for this award is about a month away and we are asking that you encourage students to apply.

Gregory Pentz Scholarship 2018

Criteria: Graduating in June 2018 and pursuing post-secondary studies. Have played, coached, or refereed soccer with a suburban soccer team during the last three years.

Nelson Indigenous Scholarship

As part of our ongoing commitment to Truth and Reconciliation, NELSON recently announced the launch of our new Indigenous scholarship program:


Nelson's Indigenous Student Scholarships supports First Nation, M├ętis and Inuit student leaders in achieving their educational goals.

Three $3000 scholarships will be awarded to students who have demonstrated academic success, personal strength, and a commitment to preserving Indigenous languages and culture.

The application window is April 3 - June 29, 2018

Kidney Foundation Bursary

Value = $500

Criteria: Student or family member who is faced with kidney disease. Student must also be attending a post-secondary institute in the fall.

Cobequid Foundation Educational Bursary

2018 Cobequid Foundation Educational Bursary - CP Allen High School

One bursary available, valued at $1000

Criteria - plans to pursue a career in the medical field

Tri-Waters Girl Guides Bursary

Girl Guides Tri-Waters Area Bursary

Applicants must be accepted and planning to enroll full time in a post secondary education. Applications can be found on the Girl Guide of Canada Nova Scotia Council site under Volunteers/ Areas/ Tri-Waters / Bursary Applications.

Deadline for application: May 30th
