Axel the Sniffer dog

Each year a working drugs sniffer dog visits the school to ensure there are no illegal substances on school grounds and to show students how a professional working dog operates. This year we were visited by Axel the Labrador and his owner John. Axel visited all areas of the school and went in and out of classes and we are pleased to say again that nothing was detected or found. 

The Initiative has made a huge impact raising awareness and minimising the presence of drugs in and around schools and college premises around the UK.

Once again this is not because we believe there is a concern, but a chance for students to see a ‘working dog’ and how they operate and also ensure the school premises are free of illegal substances.
