2AR had a fantastic time visiting the GNSA library for their pleasure for the reading session.
Pupils had fun selecting their book of choice and enjoyed reading with their friends.
Explore Learning visited 2AR and delivered a great maths session. It was a great experience and children had the task of drawing an animal using the least amount of shapes. Well done to our mathematicians!
HEALTHY BALANCED DIET!
In Science, pupils learnt about the five food groups 'carbohydrates, protein, dairy, fruits and vegetables, fats and oils. Pupils used their creativity and scientific knowledge to create their very own food group plates. This was a great way to test their knowledge and teamwork skills!
Rivers around the
WORLD
Our amazing explorers had a brilliant time exploring the major rivers around the world.
They looked through atlases and globes to locate the rivers using their fantastic knowledge of the continents around the world!
Every child is an artist...
Art is a subject all of our year 2 pupils enjoy and look forward to every week!
Pupils created a range of brilliant artwork using different techniques such as body movement, collaging and line drawing. As part of their final outcome, children produced a self portait in the style of the artist 'Julian Opie'.
DANCE TIME!
This term, pupils had an exciting time working on their dance skills in their PE sessions. Children worked on different movements in groups to solve ways of moving together.
