This term our topic has been a 'Ticket To Ride' and what a fun learning journey it has been. Thank you for all the uploads on Tapestry, we loved looking at their photos on different modes of transport and passport pictures. We have learnt about different types of transport around the world. How we travel to school and about past and present transport. The pupils have been very busy with the travel agents issuing tickets and recommending places to visit around the world.

We had lots of fun with transport stories in 'Mr Gumpy's Outing' - we learnt super vocabulary such as 'trampled' and 'squabbled', learnt about floating and sinking and looked at vintage transport.
The Train Ride was a great rhythm and rhyme story - we wrote postcards and learnt about different places you can see on a journey.
We're going on a Bear Hunt is a classic story that we loved acting out and made some great collages. We even went on a Bear Hunt in the Park.
Thank you for all your Naught Bus uploads - we loved all the different adventures.
Gymnastics
RKJ loved the gymnastics sessions with Miss May. They made bridges and have learnt forward rolls and lots of different types of stretches.
We have been mathematicians like Merlin, consolidating our numbers to 20, doubling, sharing and halving. We have been learning to manipulate shapes by rotating them and making different shapes.
We talked about the spectacular display of the Aurora Borealis- Northern Lights over the UK on Friday 10th May. The pupils were fascinated by them and we used chalk to copy the patterns made by this magical natural phenomenon.
