Reception have had a great term in learning about the concept of Service to others and Guru Amar Das ji. We had a great opportunity to visit our Local Gurdwara Garib Niwaaj and learn about 'Sewa'.

We are very proud of Year 1 learning about Guru HarGobind Ji being Saint Soldier and Year 2 learning about Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and their sacrifice. Children have also been doing some great work and learning this term. We have had stories, discussions group work and roleplay
Year 3 have been learning about the Sikh Code of Conduct and how religions follow a certain set of rules. Our other faith link is Islam. We have been doing some in depth learning this term. We have been lucky to have had the opportunity to have had an educational visit to a local Mosque this term. A very beautiful Mosque! We looked at the features of the Mosque and how it is similar and different to other faiths.
Harmonium Classes
Finally, we are so proud of our Reception children who have thoroughly enjoyed Harmonium class every Monday this term. We hope that it will inspire them to pursue their musical talents and continue in learning Kirtan!
