Another half term has flown by bringing us to the end of a very busy but exciting half term. From swimming lessons and tests to singing and dancing for the Christmas concert, our pupils' have worked extremely hard and had lots of fun learning and expressing their skills and talents, making us all very proud of them.
We look forward to another half term of enjoyable learning experiences ahead of us and would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support.
Reading is a skill for life so it's very important to read for at least 30 minutes every day to become a competent reader!

Congratulations to the following pupils who have achieved the Pen Licence Award this half term.
All pupils have demonstrated that their handwriting is neat, joined, consistent and of an extremely high standard across all subjects. They have been awarded the Pen Licence which means they can use their special handwriting pen during all lessons. WELL DONE!

No Pens Day
Our pupils couldn't contain their excitement on 'No Pens Day' when they participated in a range of speaking and listening activities to help develop their communication skills.
The day started with a memorable SHOW and TELL session in which pupils talked about objects that held sentimental value to them. We had objects ranging from soft toys, photos, artwork, money purses and even a complicated looking abacus!
The excitement continued with activities involving Silent Origami and ended with the challenging game of Articulate where pupils had to try and guess a word using describing words.
4SW Class Assembly
4SW were extremely proud to host their class assembly based on 'Teeth and Digestion'.
We had a huge turnout of parents who enjoyed the assembly and watched our pupils deliver their lines with confidence to share what they had learnt in Science. We ended our assembly with an informative song to summarise the journey of our food from our mouth to our anus!
This half term, Year 4 developed the essential life skill of swimming when they took part in a series of lessons at Botwell Leisure Centre.
Pupils demonstrated great confidence, persistence and effort in trying to learn how to keep safe in the water and learn to swim. They learnt the importance of looking out for important signs and flags when near the water and were able to practice the basic skills of saving another person's life without being in danger themselves.
Thank you to all the parents for ensuring that their child was equipped and ready for their swimming lessons. Well done to everyone!
Manufacturers in the Making
Pupils turned designers during their Design Technology lesson when they created their very own slingshot car. After a series of research, planning and designing lessons, pupils used a range of skills to create a car and then tested and evaluated it.

Celebration Afternoon
Thank you to all the parents who attended our 'Celebration Afternoon' to share the proud work of our pupils'. It was lovely to see all the parents with huge smiles whilst their child described their learning of work across the curriculum! Our pupils have made outstanding progress and will continue to work hard and improve their learning. Thank you to all parents for their support in ensuring that their child makes the best progress they are capable of.
