It is hard to believe we have reached this point in our school year already! Our pupils have worked hard this term, creating some amazing pieces of writing, solving tricky maths problems and designing beautiful castles for their chosen celebrity. The growth in their maturity is very obvious and we cannot wait to see how much more they can achieve in 2025.

Times Tables
Year 3 have been practicing their times table in a fun and creative way. They are already using this knowledge in their maths lessons.

No Pens Day
What a time we had on Friday 28th November! With all pens and pencils banned for the entire day, Year 3 had the opportunity to participate in some great activities.
They kept their peers informed with a brilliant Show and Tell, followed by some amazing team work to tell a story in one minute, 3D shape making for their junk model castles and finally some fun in Punjabi. I think everyone agrees that it was a memorable day that proved learning does not alwys require writing.

This term the students were composing questions and predicting the outcome of a science investigation that involved a solar oven. After learning about different question types, the class completed their planning then got on with making a solar oven from just five items - a box, foil, sticky tape, straws and card!

Using junk material to create a castle was the task in DT this term. After studying structures and what is required to make a strong castle, the sudents designed a castle and began using things we would usually throw away to make some stunning structures.
