Our pupils had a great time reading the book Beware of Boys. This was definitely a class favourite. Our pupils had the fun task of creating a recipe for 'Boy Cake', thinking of an unusual method with strange ingredients. As well as their excellent writing children used their acting and prosody skills to create freeze frames from the book.

In Maths this term, Year 2 have been busy exploring 2D and 3D shapes, learning key vocabulary like vertices, edges, faces, and sides. They've also been practicing their counting skills by making arrays and counting in 2s, 5s, and 10s. As part of their work on time, they've been learning to read half past, quarter past, and quarter to on an analogue clock. Well done, Year 2 mathematicians!
Our children have successfully designed and stitched a beautfiul pouch for Augustus to keep his smile safe. Pupils have throughly enjoyed their DT sessions and learned how to complete a running stitch. They had fun drawing, cutting and joing fabrics. We hope to see our children practise their stitching skills at home!
In Science this term, Year 2 enjoyed exploring the fascinating world of living things! Pupils learnt to compare what is living, dead, and never alive, we discovered how habitats support animals and plants, and investigated the relationships between them.
Pupils also visited Minet Park to explore micro-habitats and mini beasts!
NO PENS
DAY!
Year 2 had an amazing day celebrating 'no pens' , our pupils enjoyed show and tell sharing their special object, photograph and memory. This was a fantastic way to see children learn by communicating and expressing themselves.
555th Parkash Purab Guru Nanak Ji
Our Year 2 pupils celebrated 555th Gurpurab of Guru Nanak Ji by creating beautiful artwork inspired by his three golden rules: 'Remember God, earn a honest living and share your earning with others through charity'. The children creativity brought these values to live.
