We are so proud of all pupils for their progress and achievement this half term. Every day they come into school with the positive attitude and always try their best. They have enjoyed working on the story "The Gruffalo" and created some fantastic stories of their own creatures who go walking through the deep dark woods. They have blown us away with their maths skills while learning about subtraction, 2D and 3D shapes.
1DC have had a countdown to Christmas! They have had the cheeky elf visit daily who has pulled some tricks on the children. They have taken part in dressing the Christmas tree and many Christmas crafts. Not forgetting the preparation for the Christmas performance.
Children carried out an investigation to explore their five senses and what it might be like without having a sense of sight. The children especially enjoyed the lemon tasting!
1DC had the opportunity to learn the life skills of crossing a road.
The session was delivered by the Hillingdon Road Safety and School Travel Team who discussed the importance of crossing a road safely and responsibly.
The team also reinforced the safety message of following the Stop, Look, Listen and Hold Hands rule before crossing any road.
