Open Evening

A big thank you from the Science department to all the staff and students that supported in the open evening event to make it a successful one. A lot of fun and exciting practicals were carried out in the department  to give an insight into the subject.

Mrs Seva is demonstrating  that an alkaline solution of glucose can act as a reducing  agent and reduce the added methylene blue from a blue back to a colourless form.

A flower dissection practical was set up for students to try and understand the structure that makes up the flower.

Mr Rahman is demonstrating a practical to show that chemicals can combine to produce some really interesting colours and effects.

Science clubs

Science clubs take place every Monday in the Science department. Students carry out fun and exciting practicals during science clubs.  One of them involved forming bubbles with different concentrations.  Students took this as a challenge and made the biggest bubbles they could.
