Visit to Shakespeare's birthplace
A group of 6th formers are looking forward to the provisional trip to Stratford-upon-Avon in March 2024. Students will stay overnight in this scenic village, visit Shakespeare's house and take part in a workshop by the Royal Shakespeare Company.
History
Hampton Court Palace 2023
Year 11 students recently visited Hampton Court Palace working with primary sources developing their understanding of Henry VIII, his life and religious changes
Year 13 went on a visit to Crossness Engines to see the work of the legendary Joseph Bazellgette. Nicknamed the sewer king it was his creative thinking and ingenuity that led to the system that London still uses today. Students were taken on a guided tour and took in an interesting presentation on the history of the toilet. All of this was as part of their study into Public Health in the 19th Century and how the rapid growth of London from around two million to six million.
