Celebrating 10 years of inspiring young people through film, Into Film Festival is back on 7th-24th November with hundreds of free screenings, Q&As and workshops across the county.
What does the future of work look like? An ageing population, society ’s increasing reliance on technology and climate change is set to have a huge impact on the career landscape over the next 10-20 years but, despite popular belief, it won’t be all space travel, hover cars and holograms. In fact, Morrisby predicts there will still be a vast demand for jobs which are already familiar to us. See for yourself
Our year 13 students will be visiting the university and apprenticeship fair on the 19th October. This exciting and informative event will provide attendees with the opportunity to speak to a multitude of exhibiting universities and apprenticeship providers. These will include; Russell Group, red brick and modern institutions, as well as apprenticeship providers and local colleges.

Year 13- Personal Statement workshop
Our year 13 students had a visit from Royal Holloway University London to guide our students on how to write a good personal statement.
Year 7 Army day- The army came and delivered a fantastic STEM and team building day for year 7s. This gave them a brilliant opportunity to estblish some team work skills and use their critical thinking!
Work experience can help prepare you for the world of work by building key skills needed and gives valuable insight into the workplace. This opportunity isn’t limited to those thinking about a career in financial services, the knowledge and skills you will learn can be transferred to other industries and taking part would be a great addition to your CV.
The placement includes 5 live webinars, activities to test and deepen your learning, and the chance to complete a project. You will hear from Barclays employees, with the opportunity to ask questions and explore a variety of topics including:
- Early Careers at Barclays and working in financial services.
- Self-confidence and resilience
- Developing a growth mindset and understanding your personal strengths.
- CVs and preparing for interviews.
