Welcome back to another school year 2023-2024!

We hope you all had a lovely summer break...

Year 10 Business Studies

Students have been introduced to the core concepts of business and have been learning about how business ideas come about and why businesses need to continually change.  Students have also learned the qualities entrepreneurs should have when starting an enterprise, the potential risks and rewards, and the role the business enterprise plays.

This week the students have spent some time consolidating their learning in a mindmap in order to prepare for their first assessment which has been planned for the 16th of October.

Year 11 Business Studies

Students have now started with theme 2 for business studies. They have now completed topic 2.1 Growing the business and will commence with their GEM assessment next week. The sub-topics for 2.1  include Business growth, changes in business aims and objectives, business and globalization. The topic is of high interest as it brings into account businesses that operate in more than one country and the effects of globalisation on domestic firms.

Year 12/13 Economics

Students have been introduced to both the ideas  of macro and microeconomics.  Students have completed demand, production possibility frontiers, aggregate demand, and circular flow of income.  They will be commencing their gems next week. We wish them luck with their future exams.

Year 13's have now completed their Microeconomic topics on labour market failure. They will be commencing their Gem assessment next week.  We hope for them success in the future.
