Reminders from Welfare
If your child suffers from Asthma, please ensure they have their blue inhaler and spacer in their blazer (not in the school bag).
If your child suffers from allergies, please ensure they have their medication (Epipen, antihistamine) in their blazer (not school bag) and also a spare set in the Welfare Office.
Remember to inform the school if there are any changes to your child’s medical conditions.
Always ensure your child brings in snacks and a water bottle.
Always ensure your child has their jumpers/cardigans on in the cold weather.
If your child has any COVID symptoms, please do not send them to school. Please ensure they take a PCR test. If the test is positive, students must stay at home and isolate as per the government's guidance. Please inform the school of their absence using the School Gateway App.
Please ask your child/ren continue to do their lateral flow tests at least twice a week to ensure their wellbeing over the holidays and also when they return to school.
Attendance
Please ensure your child is in school for 7:50am.
Registers are taken at 8am and it is important that your child is sitting in their seat ready for the school day. This will give them a good start to the day and also receive important messages from the Form Tutor.
If for any reason your child is late, always ensure they sign in at Reception.
For ANY absences, parents should use the School Gateway App to inform the school. Details must include child’s name and form and reason for absence.
Medical appointments should always be made outside of school hours where possible. Where this is not possible, evidence of your child’s appointment must be sent 48 hours in advance to welfare@gnsa.co.uk.
