A fantastic Poem made by Jigarjeet Johal and Akemjot Kaur
The Divas we light tonight
to remember the liberator of light
the Guru who brought world peace today
who saved 52 once hopeless Kings
Who took them from the prison of Height
and put them in the freedom of Light
He fought against Chandu's lies
and to the challenge he rised.
He helped the Kings escape their dark fate
showing them it wasn't too late
We celebrate this special day
Because Guru Ji lit the way

A Fantastic Poem made by Sukhjeet in 7F
Guru Nanak's Birthday
Celebrated with astonishing delight,
Gurpurab its called,
A joyous occassion bright
Guru Means teacher
Purab means celebration
A mix of both,
A word of elation
Born into a Hindu Family,
Nanak's Wisom shone bright,
At thirty, he dissapeared
To emerge with a Sikh light
Travelling and preaching,
Spreading Love and Faith,
Nanak's teaching continue,
Even after his earthly wraith.
Sikhs commemorate the Guru's
With Gurpurab galore, But Guru Nanak's Gurpurab
is the one they adore
November or December
the month of celebration,
Guru Nanak Dev Ji's Prakash Utsav,
A time of Jubilation
In Katak Month, on a full moon night,
Sikhs Celebrate Guru Nanak's birthright
His message from God, about Equality,
is celebrated with great vitality
'All are equal', Nanak proclaimed,
and peaceful coexistence he aimed.
His teachings still resonate,
spreading love, with no room for hate
On this day, let's recall his words,
And strive to be kind like soaring birds.
Lets live in peace and harmony,
Just like Nanak Dev's philosophy
