Welcome to the John Traverse Library at Houston High School!
The library is open Monday - Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, and extended hours are available by appointment. In addition to providing books for pleasure reading and for research, the library also provides a quiet place for students and staff to study throughout the day. Our librarians, Mrs. Hopkins and Mr. Underwood, are available to assist with your research needs and can be reached by email at brianna.hopkins@gmsdk12.org and david.underwood@gmsdk12.org.

The John Traverse Library
The John Traverse Library
The library at Houston High School is dedicated to John Insley Traverse in recognition of a lifetime of commitment to the students and staff of this institution. Mr. Traverse served in the English department from 1999-2021 where he had a profound impact on his students and fellow teachers.
