About me!

My name is Alexis Rose. I am a first grade teacher at Dogwood Elementary School. I have lived in Germantown my whole life, and am a public school product myself! After graduating from Houston High School, I went on to continue my education at Birmingham-Southern College. I graduated from BSC with a B.S. in Collaborative Elementary Education (k-6) and Special Education (k-12). I started my career teaching at St. George's Independent School, doing Junior Kindergarten. I came to Dogwood at the start of GMSD. Here, I have taught 4th grade and 1st. I am married to Matthew Rose, together we have a son in heaven, Brock and a yellow labrador, Gunner. I feel so blessed to be given this opportunity to teach in such a wonderful school system. I am looking forward to a successful and fun school year!
