Year 1 have learned about how forces and movements are used in our daily life under the transdisciplinary theme “How the World Works”. We had an activity called “Movement Mission” which challenged the students to move things from one place to another using several tools and equipment. Students displayed their thinking skills by showing their ideas to carry things using the tools and equipment that teachers provided. Students also showed their communication skills by cooperating with their partner to move things from one place to another. They have been showing their curiosity throughout this unit.
We also went to the Transportation Museum to explore more about moving goods and people and how it has changed over time in Indonesia. The students saw different kinds of Indonesian transportation from the past. They also recognized some of the old transportation, such as: delman, bajaj, and becak. The students displayed enthusiasm and curiosity during our visit to the Museum.
