Trimester 2 is all about nonfiction!

We will start with reading workshop, reading a variety of nonfiction texts together, and students will read nonfiction books independently. We will work on skills like finding the main idea and supporting details, summarizing, and comparing and contrasting. 

After winter break, we will start writing nonfiction and do our research paper unit!

We will continue to study word parts each month as well.
