About Dr. Bouman:

I have been working for Glendora Unified School District for a total of 26 years in the roles of high school counselor (6 years) and school psychologist (20 years). I have worked at all levels in the pre-K through 12 setting, and have worked on cases in every school in Glendora Unified School District. I have a Bachelor in Arts (BA) in Psychology and Masters in Science (MS) in Counseling from Long Beach State, and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree (Ph.D.) in Education from Claremont Graduate University. My research interests are in the areas of remediating the achievement gap between students that are found in marginalized groups such as by race/ethnicity, social economic factors, and disabilities. I have a PPS credential to practice school psychology and educational counseling in the schools and am a Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP). In my spare time, I have been teaching as a senior adjunct professor in school psychology at the University of Laverne for the past 14 years. While working on cases, I am laser focused on the question of “what is in the best interest of these students”. I find that by keeping that question in mind at all times, everything tends to work out right.
