About Me:

Welcome to my portal web page. Here is some brief information for you to get to know me.

I graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan College where I studied Sports Medicine and Athletic Training. I was the Athletic Trainer for the Football, Men's Tennis, Women's Basketball and Men's Soccer teams. Caring for my injured athletes was a challenge that pushed me to learn more about injury prevention and how the body kinesthetically operates. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and became certified by the National Athletic Trainer's Association Board of Certification (NATABOC). I went on to work as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for New Milford High School for a year before choosing to go back to school to obtain my Teaching Certification, my true passion.

I studied at Central Connecticut State University and completed their Post-Baccalaureate Certification Program earning my Teacher's Certification in Health and Physical Education. I taught as a part-time Elementary Physical Education teacher at Essex Elementary in Essex, CT for 6 months before coming to Glastonbury.  I also hold a Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of New England in Maine.

I have been teaching at Glastonbury High School since 2008 and currently teach Alternative Environmental Activities, First Aid Careers, and Health & PE 9.

I enjoy spending my free time spending time with family and friends, watching and participating in anything sports oriented, playing wiffleball, hiking, running and mountain biking with my wife and sons Weston (9) & Drew (7).  I have always enjoyed and strived to maintain a healthy lifestyle and pass on its importance to others. I am very lucky to work alongside my fellow staff members here at GHS promoting wellness and teaching what I am so passionate about.
