My Goal

My goal is to support students in order to help each student become an independent and enthusiastic reader/writer. I also want to help my students feel confident about themselves as readers, writers and thinkers.

Reading Recovery

I teach Reading Recovery lessons to four first graders each day. Reading Recovery is a research-based intervention that is designed to help struggling readers in first grade make accelerated progress. Reading Recovery students meet with me individually for 30 minutes everyday. During these lessons the students work hard! They are constantly reading, writing, and working with words and/or letters. For more information on how to support your Reading Recovery student at home, please contact me. Happy Reading!

Small Groups

Some children work with me in a small groups each day. We meet daily for 30 minutes to work on reading, writing and word study. The groups are designed to meet each student's individual needs. One type of small group is called LLI, which stands for Leveled Literacy Intervention. LLI is a research-based intervention program designed to help students make accelerated progress in reading. Please contact me to find out more about how you can support your budding reader at home! Happy reading!!
