You will read some information about how social media has changed social movements, watch a TED Talk about the relationship between hashtags and human rights, and respond to an interview about the problems and limitations of using social media for activism.

Appeal to ignorance

Sunk cost

Appeal to authority

Appeal to pity

At the end of the lesson you will be able to explain what these fallacies are and identify them in an argument.
