Please, call me Gio!
I am a Finance PhD student at the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. I will be on the Job Market in 2020/2021.
My research interests lie at the intersections of contract theory, corporate finance and market microstructure. In particular, I try to understand how manager incentives translate into market prices, and the motivations behind the rise of short-term oriented corporate policies.
I received a B.S. in Economics from Napoli University, a M. Sc. in Accounting and Finance from Bocconi University, and a Master in Economics and Finance (MEF) from Napoli School of Economics. I also participated in an exchange program with ULB Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (Belgium) and with the Rotterdam School of Management (The Netherlands).
Before joining Kenan-Flalger PhD program, I worked in the Asset Management team of Axis Realty Partners, a Real Estate Investment company headquartered in Miami Beach.
Outside of research, my passions include traveling, art, photography and design. I spend my free time playing guitar and listening to music, drawing and reading, as well as trying new food and exploring new places.
