About Me

I have been teaching band since 1993 and joined Gilbert Public Schools in 2012. Previously I taught both band and Spanish at Grace Community Christian School in Tempe. I also spent four years as a junior high band teacher for Mesa Public Schools. Although I have been trained in all the band instruments, my main instrument is the trombone. I am fortunate to be a graduate of the Oberlin College Conservatory of Music. I have a Master of Music degree from Arizona State University and earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from ASU in 2009. Most importantly, I love being a teacher and working with young band students! This IS my dream job!
