Welcome!!!
Welcome, everyone! Here, you will find information to help your child access our online google classroom, directions for logging in, as well as important school and district information. We will begin on-line activities Monday, March 30th, in our google classroom. Once your child has logged in from home, you will find the process simple to follow. 'Assignments' are really enrichment activities; you child will not be earning grades. Rather, participation will give your child opportunities to practice skills that we have already learned this year and keep them mentally active using some of those skills. Please do not stress over this new adventure; we are all learning as we go! I appreciate your support of your child's education. Together, we will make this a PAW-sitive experience for us all!
A Little Bit About Me:
Hello and thank you for coming in! I am completing my 41st year as a educator; my 20th at Gilbert Elementary. I love helping my kiddos learn new skills! I am amazed at how much young minds want to know, how they are curious about everything around them, and how eager they are to explore and learn all that they can!
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my two grandsons (that's Frankie and Calvin with me here), reading, crafting and taking care of my critter menagerie.
The students and I have been working within our 'google classroom' during the year. I will be posting learning activities within our google classroom for your child to access. While parents are not able to actually be 'in' the classroom, it would be helpful if you could be beside your child as they access our classroom from home the first few times in case they need some help.
We will continue to use ClassDojo as our primary means of communication. If you have changed your phone number, please email me at my school email and I will update your account and reinvite you.
We will be using Webex at some point to meet as a class together. With this app, you are able to see and hear each other! Please feel free to download it now, so that the students and I will be able to talk with each other the next several weeks.
In Infinite Campus, you can access your child's report card, communications, etc. Please refer to the directions which have been sent out frequently this year or click on the district's link:

The district has provided families with wonderful, free websites that give students activities in a variety of content areas for all grade levels.
