About Mrs. Green

Welcome to 6th grade ELA (English Language Arts)! The 2020-2021 school year marks my 24th year of teaching. I began my career teaching sixth, seventh, and eighth grade chorus in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After moving to Arizona, I taught fourth grade for seven years, fifth grade for six years, and sixth grade for eight years. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree from New Mexico State University and a Master’s Degree from Arizona State University.

My husband and I moved to Gilbert from New Mexico in 1997, and while we miss our Hatch green chile and New-Mexican food, we love the people and year-round sunny weather in Arizona. We are the proud parents of a eleventh-grade son. Our two dogs, Oscar and Rambo, complete our little family.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, knitting, crocheting, singing, watching football, playing video games, listening to music, and laughing with friends.
