Greenfield Elementary Social Work Corner
Hello! I’m Lexi Haws and I’m grateful to be part of the Greenfield community as the School Social Worker. I grew up in Peoria, Arizona and earned my degrees from Purdue University and Arizona State University. Outside of school I love spending time with my family, playing tennis and anything fitness related. Overall, I’m most passionate about having FUN!
In my role at Greenfield I focus on supporting students' overall well-being. I provide Tier 1, 2 and 3 interventions including mental health support, crisis response and safety assessments. I work with students individually and in small groups using evidence-based counseling strategies and check in with students who may be struggling emotionally, socially or behaviorally. I also partner with community agencies and social service providers to help meet the needs of our students and families.
Most of all I want every student to feel connected, supported and ready to learn. I’m looking forward to a great year together!
