Second Grade

Mrs. Garcia is a Texas Girl born and raised until she moved to Arizona about 10 years ago, but she still likes to visit her home state as much as possible. She has a Maltese Yorkie named Sherlock and about 35 chickens. She enjoys gardening and crafting and spending time with her family. When she gets to take a vacation her favorite place to visit is Hawaii, but Disneyland is closer and really is the happiest place on Earth, so she and her family try to go there often. Mrs. Garcia loves to try new restaurants but her favorite right now is the Cheesecake Factory. She also loves all types of music but she is a Texas Girl after all so Country music is her most listened to. When she gets some down time her perfect evening would be a drive around town with her family and listening to some great tunes.

Mrs. Marx-DeMond was born in California but lived in lots of different places including Utah and Arizona. Mrs. Marx-DeMond has been a dancer from the age of 5 all the way through college. She enjoys lots of different kinds of dance including clogging (which is between tap and Irish), ballet, Russian, Scottish, and Jazz. When her and her family vacation they enjoy anywhere with a beach and an amusement park. Mrs. Marx-Demond enjoys reading and her favorite kids authors and books are The Elephant and Piggie Books by Mo William, and the Berenstain Bears by Stan, Jan and Mike Berenstain. Her favorite food is Mexican and not just on Taco Tuesday, she would have that for dinner any day of the week! When Mrs. Marx-DeMond gets a night off her favorite thing to do would be to listen to fun music from ColdPlay or Ed Sherran and have a dance party with her daughters.

Mrs. Sandoval was born in Illinois but moved to Arizona when she was 5 so she considers AZ home. She has one dog, a Rottweiler, named Kane who she loves to hangout with. Her favorite hobbies are exploring new places and watching her step sons play hockey and soccer. When she vacations she enjoys visiting family in Illinois and the Florida Beaches. She loves to relax at home with her family and her favorite food is Mexican and Italian. Her favorite superhero is Spiderman!

Mrs. Towne's father served in the Navy so she moved around a lot. She has lived in Utah, Texas, California, and North Carolina. When she vacations she enjoys taking long car trips with her family to visit some of her favorite spots like the beaches in NC and Seal Beach or Disneyland in CA. Her favorite superhero is her Uncle Ricky who passed away recently, but he did so many great things in his work at Riverside, CA School for the Deaf. He was a very intelligent man with a kind soul who showed all his students love and respect. When it comes to her favorite restaurant Mrs. Towne likes to try different places with the same foods to see which is best, and in her opinion Smash burgers beats In N Out in the burger department, and Trader Joe's orange chicken and rice is better than Costco's, and Oreos and Joe Joes are super close in flavor. Her favorite stories to read are by Laura Ingalls Wilder and C.S. Lewis. When Mrs. Towne gets some down time she enjoys listening to all types of music while on a hike and eating Trader Joe's snacks.
