Kindergarten

Mrs. Stephanie Alann has a cat named Pepper and grew up in Mount Vernon, Washington.  When she has time for herself she enjoys shopping and getting coffee with friends.  You can find her vacationing on the beach or enjoying the wonders of a national park.  Her favorite author is Kate DiCamillo, who wrote The Tales of Despereaux. She enjoys AZ Pita and Billy Joel, but it's a hard toss up between Iron Man and Black Widow for which is the best super hero.

Ms. Brunner is not only a 24 year Air Force Veteran, but also one of our fabulous Kindergarten teachers! She has a mini schnauzer named Einstein who she loves to go hiking with. Her favorite vacation spots always include mountains for hiking she especially likes Bryce Canyon. She grew up in Michigan listening to anything 80's and her favorite food is fish tacos. She enjoys reading with her students and her favorite children's book author is Mo Williams.

Mrs. Mitchell is an Arizona native, born and raised, but does enjoy getting away to California and the beach! She loves tacos, and her superhero is the Hulk because he is strong and fearless! She enjoys shopping at Target, working out, and spending time with her family.  90s R&B is her jam, and her favorite book is The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister. She graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors in early childhood and special education, and this will be her fifth year teaching kindergarten. A fun fact about her is that she used to play basketball! She still loves the game of basketball and finds herself around it all the time. I loves to teach, and believes it's such a wonderful gift that she gets to share! 

Mrs. Modrell grew up in North Hollywood,CA so this might explain her love for musical theater. Her perfect day with her husband and 3 kiddos would start off with breakfast burritos. Then going on an afternoon hike. Next finding a few city street murals to take pictures in front of, followed by a picnic on the beach with a bonfire singing along with guitar. Ms. Modrell has one dog, a sweet Aussiedoodle named Zoe who she loves to have join her on outdoor adventures like hiking, camping or kayaking. Her favorite superhero would be Wonder Woman because she would love to take a ride on her invisible jet. Ms. Modrell loves to read and her favorite books are by Jeanne Birdsall called The Penderwicks. This series brings back memories of adventures with her brother while growing up. When she gets some down time she loves to sit and enjoy nature with some fancy pizza, an arugula salad and finishing her evening with a little ice-cream.
