Honors Lab Biology & AP Biology

Mr Applebach; Campo Verde HS Room 203

About Me: I am in awe of the intricacy and complexity of the natural world. Thinking deeply about, and having conversations about the way things are, the way things have been, and the way things could be, really excites. I grew up in Southern California, but moved to Gilbert for my freshman year at Highland HS right here in Gilbert. I studied biology and education at ASU where I earned my bachelors degree. I spent three years touring North America playing bass in a post-hardcore band called Greeley Estates. Soon after my departure from the band, I began teaching and coaching at Mesquite HS, then later Desert Ridge HS, and since the fall of 2010, I have been teaching honors and AP biology (among other courses) and coaching cross country and track at Campo Verde HS. In 2018 I earned a master's degree in kinesiology from A.T. Still University where I focused my coursework in sports conditioning. My wonderful wife Danielle and I have been married nearly ten years, and live in Gilbert with our two children, Asher (5) and Birdie (1). I love nature and working with motivated young students, which is why I am excited to be on this journey.
