Hi Lovely Second Grade Families, as you know this is my first year teaching! I am loving your kids so much!! I love Chick Fil-A, working out, and traveling. I am a huge believer in pushing my students not only in academics but being a good person. I graduated from Northern Arizona University and I eventually want to become a Principal. I am all about positivity and growth mindset. Thank you all for your support! So excited for this year by your child's side. :)

Hi Folks! I am thrilled to be teaching 2nd grade at Mesquite and to be part of such a warm and dynamic community. I feel lucky to be in this profession doing what I love. I strive to create a caring, safe, and engaging learning environment, which encourages students to believe in themselves and to do their personal best.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I grew up in Michigan and moved to AZ to attend ASU where I received my Bachelors Degree in Education and shortly after obtained my Masters through NAU. This is my 21st year teaching. I have a beautiful 10 year old daughter, i enjoy a bold cup of coffee, traveling, beautiful beaches, and spending time with family and friends.

Mrs. Flores here...or as some of you know me, the teacher who LOVES emojis!! This is my 22nd year teaching at Mesquite! I taught both 2nd and 3rd grades...they are my absolute favorite! I always knew I wanted to be a teacher, even when I was 5 years old and would line up all my stuffed animals and pretend to "teach" them. Yes, I was born to teach!

I was born in Mansfield, Ohio and moved to Tempe, when I was a toddler, so Arizona is my home. I got my bachelor's degree in education from ASU and my master's degree in education from NAU.

My husband's name is Carlos and together we are a blended family of 8! Our children range in ages from 21 - 11. This year my son is a freshman at Campo Verde and excited to be on the football team and this mom even more EXCITED to watch him! One of my very favorite things is to watch college football with my family, so I can't wait to be the mom cheering him on!
