One of the best things you can do with your child at home is to talk with them and to read to/with them. Talking with your child about all of the things that you see and do at home is a great way of introducing new words to them. You can talk with your child about the things you see around you or the pictures in the book you are reading. Pick out a word that you think they don't know the meaning of and ask them, do you know what dash means?
Here is also a cool phonics songs that we like to listen to, to practise the letters of the alphabet and their sounds. Storyline Online is also another great resource to listen to some great stories!
Everyday at school we do play based learning. Playing is a great way to spend some time with your child and to help develop their social skills.
